From Jodhpur…
…to taking a sleeper bus to Udaipur…
.
..to finally absorbing “the most romantic city in India” in Udaipur…
I forgot to mention that when I arrived in Jodhpur yesterday morning, I met a South Korean actress named Ryu who was staying at my hostel and traveling alone. We coincidentally ended up sharing the overnight bus to Udaipur together and from there we decided to continue another 2 days exploring the city. The problem was that I didn’t know any Korean and she didn’t know any English, so it was pretty much 2 entire days of communicating in made-up sign language and being totally lost in translation. But we were able to prove that companionship knows no language barriers.
Among the places Ryu and I visited, the Sunset View Terrace within Udaipur’s City Palace complex was notable for horrible drinks but nevertheless sublime views…
Ryu just came back to pick me up from the internet café. Off we go.
