Due to our delay in Hanoi – I took the opportunity to document our sampling of a real Vietnamese Bahn Mi. Due to our exceptionally long bus trip – I haven’t had the opportunity to upload anything until just now. Enjoy our Bahn Mi’s vicariously through these videos!
Also – we ran into those Quebecois again in Hue – Corinne and I took the opportunity during our 4 hour transit layover to go to a hotel to shower. $2 USD for a short break, a shower, and an opportunity to recharge electronic devices before another 30 hours on a bus. I think it was worth it. But in any case – the two guys were staying at the same hotel that we chose to shower in – definitely ran into each other in the lobby.
But seriously, probably won’t see them again.

The best I’ve had is Baoguette Cafe on 8th street and 2nd avenue!
I love Bahn Mi. Best I had I remember was in Oakland California. Crispy bread, like Calvin says, all the sauces, mayonnaise?, pate, dicon, spicy hot too, probably more than what you guys are getting. Where do you get it in NYC? I’m inspired to seek it out.
