Sunset in Bali

So I decided to use my normal point and shoot for a video this time just because it takes so little time to upload compared with my flip HD.

The quality isn’t nearly as good – so bear with me here:

The videos from Penang, Kuala Lumpur, etc. will probably have to wait – if they ever make it onto this blog! The internet is much faster but still relatively slow and I can’t sit in front of a computer all day!

In any case, here are a few more videos from Bali that I haven’t already posted:

Ku De Ta: In Bali, Indonesia, here is a view of the sights and sounds (you can imagine the scents) at Bali’s top restaurant for fine dining. I definitely feel a little guilty enjoying such luxury – but hey – this is our vacation from our vacation!

Caitlin’s Cartwheel Adventures: Filming Caitlin’s attempts at learning how to do cartwheels in Bali, Indonesia, because apparently, she missed that part of her childhood education. Calvin has an interesting idea of how to teach her…

Bali Beach Soccer: At the end of the day, several games of soccer set up along the beach in make-shift “fields” with procured, small nets. The games stretch all along the shoreline. The players are mostly locals, but there were a few local versus tourist games!

I have to just say that I never thought that it would be possible to miss a resort destination such as Bali. But I will and already do miss it! The local-tourist-surfer-traveler mix is so cool and unique. The beach stretches for such a distance without rocks or disturbance in Seminyak-Kuta-Legion. The surf conditions are nothing like those at home at Nauset beach where the water is frigid and the beach is rocky and the waves are tiny. And I will of course miss hanging out with the locals and getting the local treatment (local prices, local food, etc).

Vacation from Vacation:

 Beach Hawkers:

- At time of posting in Seminyak, Bali, it was 82.4 °F -

Humidity: 83% | Wind Speed: 6km/hr | Cloud Cover: broken clouds

How AWESOME/UNFORTUNATE is this tan/burn?
